Government Response to the Auditor-General’s Report – Public Transport: the Frequent Network
Cabinet endorsed the Government’s response to the Auditor-General’s Report – Public Transport: The Frequent Network. Cabinet agreed the response be tabled in the March 2016 sittings of the Legislative Assembly.
Access Canberra Accountability Commitment
Cabinet considered a series of accountability commitments for Access Canberra. The accountability commitments would set service and timeliness standards for a range of Access Canberra functions.
Government Response to the Standing Committee on Planning, Environment and Territory and Municipal Services’ Inquiry into draft Plan of Management for the Albert Hall
Cabinet endorsed the Government’s response to the Standing Committee on Planning, Environment and Territory and Municipal Services inquiry into draft plan of management for the Albert Hall. Cabinet agreed the response be tabled in the March 2016 sittings of the Legislative Assembly.
Government Response to the Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety Inquiry into Sentencing
Cabinet endorsed the Government’s response to the Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety’s inquiry into sentencing. Cabinet considered a series of justice reform and sentencing initiatives that have already been implemented which address elements of the inquiry, along with future commitments. Cabinet agreed the response be tabled in the March 2016 sittings of the Legislative Assembly.
Retirement Villages Review
Cabinet considered proposals for policy reform relating to the regulation of retirement villages in the ACT. Cabinet endorsed further work to develop legislative improvements to the Retirement Villages Act 2012.
Animal Welfare Amendment Bill 2016 and Strategy for delivery of Animal Welfare Services
Cabinet considered the Animal Welfare Amendment Bill 2016, which will introduce amendments to:
- promote and protect the welfare, safety and health of animals;
- enure the proper and humane care and management of animals; and
- reflect the community’s expectation that people who keep or care for animals will ensure they are properly treated
Cabinet also considered a strategy for delivering animal welfare services to the community, and endorsed the strategy for tabling in the Legislative Assembly.
