Among matters not covered are materials considered in the formation of the ACT budget, commercial and industrial matters under negotiation, as well as matters that would impact personal privacy, security and the ACT economy. Committees of Cabinet

A meeting of the Budget Committee of Cabinet was convened. Ministers and Treasury officials discussed items of fiscal importance to the ACT.

Enterprise Bargaining Agreement Negotiations Subcommittee

A meeting of the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement Negotiation Subcommittee was convened.  Ministers and relevant officials discussed matters relating to upcoming enterprise bargaining negotiations.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body

Members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body (Elected Body) met for an open discussion with Cabinet members.  A number of issues and community priorities were discussed including:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body Review;
  • Justice;
  • Community Services;
  • Transport Services;
  • Education and Training;
  • Health; and
  • The Redfern Statement.

Cabinet agreed to the Government Response to the Auditor General’s Report WorkSafe ACT’s management of regulatory responsibilities for the demolition of loose-fill asbestos contaminated houses.

Intergovernmental Agreement on Biosecurity (IGAB) Review

Cabinet agreed to the Australian Capital Territory Government Submission on the Intergovernmental Agreement on Biosecurity (IGAB) Review Draft Report and for its provision to the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources website.
