Released 29/07/2019

Have your say on the skills your industry needs, to help develop a productive and highly skilled workforce in the ACT.

The Government is helping to create more jobs for more Canberrans, in both traditional, high demand industries but also in emerging industries to help diversify our economy.

Every year the ACT Government updates our Skills Needs List to ensure it aligns with the changing needs of employers and growth industries in the ACT. To inform this process, we are seeking your views on areas of skills shortage in the ACT.

The government uses the ACT Skills Needs List to target our investment in vocational education and training to ensure workers get the right training to participate in our changing workforce, through the Skilled Capital and ACT Australian Apprenticeships initiatives.

We also use the list to work with industry on how we can upskill, reskill and retrain our people to meet the current and future skills needs of the ACT workforce.

Find out more at skills.act.gov.au/employers and submit your feedback by 6 September 2019.
