Appointments to Minister’s Creative Council announced

Minister for the Arts and Cultural Events, Gordon Ramsay today announced 11 appointees to the inaugural Minister’s Creative Council.

Led by Genevieve Jacobs as Chair and Jack Lloyd as Deputy Chair, the Minister’s Creative Council will play a key role in advancing the arts in the ACT.

Other members include Ben Fox, Andrew Galan, Megan Hinton, Liz Lea, Tamzin Nugent, Adelaide Rief, Michael Sollis and Sia Ahmad, and Jilda Andrews representing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Network.

“The combined diverse experience and strong community ties of the Minister’s Creative Council will deliver great outcomes for Canberra’s arts sector," Minister Ramsay said.

“I would like to congratulate all appointees. I am looking forward to working with this group as an important conduit between the Arts community and the ACT Government.

“I would also like to thank the people that took the time to express their interest in the council. We received a very strong field of 87 high calibre applications. I am thrilled with the outcome and interest we received.”

The Minister’s Creative Council will advise the ACT Government on arts and cultural sector issues to inform future policy development.
