ACT Children’s Week was officially launched today with more than 200 children, young people, government and non-government representatives coming together to celebrate and recognise young people in our community.
Congratulations to Children’s Week award nominees and winners who were recognised today for making a difference in the lives of Canberra children.
Children’s Week asks us to consider how we ensure children’s voices are heard and I encourage everyone to have a conversation with a child and really listen to them about something that’s important in their lives.
The ACT Government is very pleased to support the Children’s Week committee to administer grants to groups, organisations and schools to host activities and events.
Children’s Week is a wonderful way to recognise and celebrate children and young people in our community and I encourage the community to attend events across Canberra.
