ACT Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) Ministerial Advisory Council
The ACT LGBTIQ+ Ministerial Advisory Council is an advisory body with the government’s endorsement to respectfully consult with Canberra’s LGBTIQ+ communities and report back on relevant current issues and recommend policy or legislative changes, or other specific government action.
The Council has a strong focus on non-discrimination, aged care, education, and health service delivery, and reports to government through the Chief Minister.
Membership
Members are selected for their expertise and experience in LGBTIQ+ rights and care. They are passionate individuals with experience across a wide range of communities.
